We have been tossing around the idea of giving the active ST some renown to award to their own character as they are not able to play in events due to the fact that they are directing events.
Is this a good idea? Bad idea?
If you have suggestions for how it should be awarded and such, please feel free to post in here...or if you have strong objections, please explain so we are all on the same page.
Thanks!

I am always dubious about ST characters as PCs (Instead of as NPCs), especially if there are a bunch. That said, as ST you can do as you wish.

I can absolutely understand the worry about that which is why we have a strict policy that the PC's that belong to us never participate in our own plots. Any plot that we run which the other's PC is involved in, the plot information does not get shared at all (wouldnt make it fun for us if it was shared). Any PC created by an ST is created with the same rules and expectations as any other character. They have the same level of in game knowledge as everyone else. We also don't want our STs to be banned from the very thing that brings us all here, role play. As much as Morgan and I love to ST for the room, we also love to play....as does every ST I know

Especially if it is another ST running the scene.

All characters present get XP for participating in a plot.
The trouble is this: I miss out on all possible XP when I run a plot for you simply because I am running it. My character cannot be involved because I running the event.
Morgan misses out on all possible XP when he runs a plot simply because he is running it. His character cannot be involved because he is running it.
Any ST will miss out on XP when they run an event because we do not allow out PCs to be in our own plot.
